What is for sale

A software system that automates X (formerly Twitter) marketing tasks, particularly managing mutual-promotion and retweet groups, with logic for condition checks, duplicate prevention, auto-pause, and group quality analysis. The system has been sold mainly to overseas users for several years and has generated cumulative sales of over 20 million yen (the wider service has done over US$300,000 lifetime). The owner is selling not because the business is unprofitable, but because they are now CEO of a new AI venture and CTO of another company, leaving no time to run or maintain this system.

This is an asset sale, so the buyer acquires the source code, know-how and materials directly and must set up their own company, accounts and branding rather than inheriting an existing legal entity.

Paying for it

If you stay overseas. No Japanese bank will lend to a new company whose director lives abroad. The realistic stack is your own cash plus asking the owner to take part of the price over 2 to 3 years. That one question is in every Deal Pack.

If you move to Japan. On a visa that lets you run a business, Japan Finance Corporation lends up to ¥72M at about 1 to 2 percent for exactly this. Once you have a Japanese company, the government pays two-thirds of due diligence and registered-broker costs, up to about ¥8M (round 16 closes 6 Nov 2026). You start a bank relationship from zero.
