This is a Tokyo-based limited liability company (goudou gaisha) established in April 2013, originally set up to run an export business overseas, but the plan stalled before operations really began and the company has had little real activity since. It briefly did some consulting for overseas companies, and since around June 2026 has been running a small consignment resale business of client inventory clearance goods on Mercari Shops. The owner is selling because they no longer plan to use this company for a future new business and want to consolidate management of multiple entities to focus resources on their main business.
Because this is a full transfer of the LLC's membership interests, the buyer takes over the existing legal entity itself, including its incorporation history, though bank account continuity and any licences are not guaranteed and must be reconfirmed with the relevant institutions.
If you stay overseas. No Japanese bank will lend to a new company whose director lives abroad. The realistic stack is your own cash plus asking the owner to take part of the price over 2 to 3 years. That one question is in every Deal Pack.
If you move to Japan. On a visa that lets you run a business, Japan Finance Corporation lends up to ¥72M at about 1 to 2 percent for exactly this. Once you have a Japanese company, the government pays two-thirds of due diligence and registered-broker costs, up to about ¥8M (round 16 closes 6 Nov 2026). The company's existing bank relationship comes with it.
